Smoof's Purkin'

Smoof's Purkin'
This is the official site of Smoof's Purkin'. SP comes out of Hamilton, Ohio and combines the sound of rock 'n' roll, blues, folk, funk, reggae, and bluegrass intertwined with improvisational jams. The band consists of Jason Zimmerer on harmonicas, Scott Hubbard on drums, Jeff Frechtling on guitars and mandolin, and Matt Frechtling on bass, with Jenny Frechtling singing occasionally. SP is spreading its sound around the southwest Ohio area, and is set to breakthrough on the scene with the unique sound they carry.
Smoof's Purkin' Lives On...Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 05:13 PM
This site may be "dead" technically speaking, but the spirit of Smoof's Purkin' still lives on with the music and pictures available for anybody to make use of. The forum still exists although no one uses it (I had to virtually shut it down because of spam), but I have talked in the past about getting it going again and recruiting users. Anyway, for those who stumble upon this site, enjoy the history that once was Smoof's Purkin'!

Forum Upgrade PlannedTuesday, November 21, 2006, 04:08 PM
With the help of my site admin Mikey, I am planning to finally upgrade the forum. It has been plagued with spam posts and phantom members registering. I have kept it clean, but there aren't many active members. After the upgrade, I plan on inviting everyone I know in cyberspace to join the fun of the forum, like it used to be when it was active. I'm sure know one sees this site anymore either, but it's not going anywhere.

Site was down, but we're back in business now!Friday, September 29, 2006, 03:10 PM
The site was down for a few weeks while I was getting settled into my new home in beautiful California. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it for a while, but got it working thanks to my long time site admin Mikey. I plan on keeping the site up mainly for the forum, but enjoy the music and pictures as you wish because they'll be here. Later,

Frech

Thanks for Good TimesWednesday, August 16, 2006, 12:44 PM
Well, as my time draws near leaving for the Promised Land, I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support Smoof's Purkin' and Jack Tupp Five. I had a lot of great times with both bands but every good thing has to come to an end eventually.

I will keep the website up especially for the forum so I can keep in touch with those who don't use email. Also so I can post any funny stuff I find online. The music and pics will also remain. I may do something with the website someday, but for now the song remains the same.

Wish me luck in California and maybe I'll start a new band to advertise on this site!
